Jon Ruckle, MD

Senior Investigator

Dr. Ruckle is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and brings extensive clinical practice, teaching, and research experience to Hawaii Clinical Research Center. He has served as an Investigator for over 280 clinical trials, mostly Phase I, and has worked full time as an Investigator since 1995. He has been Medical Director of 3 Phase I research units. His special interests include Japanese bridging and pan-Asian studies, First-Time-In-Humans studies (including biologics), microdose studies in a variety of special populations including healthy elderly, pediatrics, and patients with osteoporosis, diabetes, obesity, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, asthma, and renal insufficiency. In addition he has consulted with pharmaceutical sponsors and CROs on many aspects of product strategy and protocol development, and served as Medical Monitor and on Data Safety Review Boards. He is an alumnus of the Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, CA, with residency training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
