This study is evaluating an investigational study drug to see if it can improve communication, understanding and the performance of daily living skills in children with Down Syndrome. As a qualified participant, your child will receive all study-related procedures and study drug at no cost and may be reimbursed for reasonable travel expenses.

How Will My Child Qualify?
To qualify, your child must be:

• Between 6 and 17 years of age
• Diagnosed with Down Syndrome
• Able to see, hear, communicate and walk

• PHN no less than six months but no more than 5 years
• Persistent pain of at least a 4 on a scale from 0-10.

Bipolar disorder is a mental illness characterized by recurrent episodes of mania/hypomania and depression. Individuals with bipolar depression may experience the following symptoms:

• Persistent sadness or emptiness
• Irritability
• Loss of interest in previously enjoyed activities
• Difficulty concentrating

If you are experiencing symptoms of depression and have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, you may be eligible to participate in a clinical research study testing an investigational medication for bipolar depression.
